Shelbie and Jonathan {Engagement} {Couples}

I feel honored to have photographed my sister, Shelbie and her boyfriend, (ahem, fiance), Jonathan's engagement photos!

I traveled down to the Long Beach, Cali area for their engagement party and we did some pretty elaborate planning for their engagement photos!

We ended up doing three separate locations, so this is only the first set of darling photos to come!

Jonathan plays baseball in St. Louis for the Gateway Grizzlies and they met while he was playing baseball for their alma matter, Loyola Marymount University.

We stopped by LMU for our first location and Jonathan had previously been given permission for us to access the baseball field for pictures. Turns out they were doing maintence on the field and we weren't able to get on.{Insert panicking photographer here}.

Jonathan made a few calls and got us access to the field at Long Beach University and it ended being a total dream! A large stadium, full access to the dugouts, diamond and field, and the colors were cool and kept the focus on the couple.

But wait.....then the ground guy (ya, the one driving around on the lawn mower), stopped to chat with us and said he had a surprise for us. He went up into the sports box, yelled down for the spelling of names and the year they are getting married and put it up on the board.

So I pretty much peed myself with excitement.

Here is the finished product.....it will make you want to go to a ball game!

Family of Three {Olympia Washington} {Family Photographer}

I had such a fabulous time with this family in Olympia a few weeks ago. Our daughters are about the same age, so it was fun to be able to meet this little girl, Peyton and her mom and dad!

I just can't get over her head of hair and crystal blue eyes! She's going to be a little heartbreaker!

Things that make a photographer happy: when the families color scheme for outfits just happens to match the prop chest you brought on a whim! :) I did a happy dance!
