Addie turns One! {Children} {Cake Smash}

I had the opportunity to work with sweet Addie again for her first birthday portraits. Her mom is a good friend and fellow Army wife up at JBLM, and always knows exactly what she wants with Addie's photos!

This makes me VERY happy as she shows up with a darling kid-sized overstuffed chair, a hand painted vintage high chair for her cake smash and a teepee! All I added in was a furry blanket and we were good to go!

We did this shoot over two different evenings and locations. We did the chair and cake smash first the day before her actual birthday and at first Addie wasn't too sure about the cake, but it didn't take long for her to dig in. At the teepee shoot, we just kind of let Addie do her thing and play around and got some amazing shots of her! Her parents have called her their little papoose since she was born :) Mom even got in a few shots at the end!
